Senior Consultant
Brad Keyes, CHSP, is a senior consultant with The Greeley Company, a division of HCPro, Inc., in Marblehead, MA. His expertise is in the management of the Life Safety Program, including the Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs.
Keyes' clients have included insurance underwriter groups, hospitals, ambulatory care centers, physician practice groups, and large integrated systems across the country. He analyzes and develops leadership effectiveness and efficiency in work processes, focusing on assessing an organization's preparedness for survey, evaluating processes in achieving preparedness, and guiding organizations toward compliance. Keyes has been effective both in training large groups as well as meeting one-on-one with healthcare leaders. This work has involved organizational assessment; management training; ongoing coaching of task groups; and extensive one-on-one coaching of facility leaders.
Keyes presents at national seminars, regional conferences, and audio conferences and teaches the Life Safety Boot Camps series to various groups and organizations. He is the author or coauthor of the following HCPro/Greeley books: Physical Environment Online: A Guide to the Joint Commission's Safety Standards (2010), The Joint Commission Survey Coordinator's Handbook, Tenth Edition (2009), and Life Safety Compliance Manual: A Guide to the Joint Commission Standards (2008). Keyes has also authored a variety of articles addressing features of life safety and fire protection, as well as white papers and articles on the Building Maintenance Program. Keyes is currently the contributing technical editor of the monthly newsletter Healthcare Life Safety Compliance and is certified as a Healthcare Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Healthcare Safety Management.
Prior to joining The Greeley Company, Keyes worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years, most recently as safety officer at a large Midwest hospital. He also was one of the original Life Safety CodeĀ® specialist surveyors for The Joint Commission and has more than three years of experience in hospital accreditation surveys.
